Financial Times - web update - November 24, 1999 Malaysia's GDP up 8.1% Malaysia's gross domestic product grew 8.1 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter of 1999, up 2.1 per cent on the previous quarter. The central bank said that the country's 1999 GDP growth could be higher than previous predictions of 4.6 per cent. "Economic activity has exceeded pre-crisis levels," the bank said.
