Weirdly, profitability is quite high, having recovered most of the 1997-2001 drop. Yet corps seem to lack confidence in the f ...

22628 [lbo-talk] GOP losing its swing? -- rank: 1000
New York Post - July 16, 2004 GOP LOSING ITS SWING By RYAN SAGER THE gay-marriage amend ment that failed Wednesday was never meant to win votes in the Senate - its target was always swing states with large Catholic populations such as Ohio and Michigan. Perhaps, however, the Republican Party should be thinking a bit harder about swing voters. By again racing ahead to claim the mantle of the Party of Bigotry (it almost got away from them there for a bit), the GOP is doing permanent damage to itse ...

John Kerry and George W. Bush remain tied among likely voters in Florida. In a survey conducted July 13-15, Kerry is at 47%, Bush is at 44%, and Ralph Nader is at 3%. Without Nader on the ballot, it is Kerry 49% and Bush 45%. While the shift to Kerry among independents has stopped, Kerry is now doing almost as well among Democrats as Bush is doing among Repubicans, which gives Kerry a slight advantage. The Florida results are at: http://americanresearchgroup.com/fl/ --- John Kerry and George W. ...
