1366 [lbo-talk] OWS: crackdown imminent? -- rank: 1000
[Can't vouch for this, but could well be...] From: han shan Date: Thu, Nov 3, 2011 at 10:03 AM Friends, allies, and troublemakers, I heard through a back-channel (which I did not seek nor cultivate) from a very highly-placed person in the Mayor's office that they are losing patience with the status quo VERY quickly. This person was rather blunt and without giving me any sort of firm timeline nonetheless made it clear that the city has a plan, the resources, and will likely mobilize very soon (to ...

1367 [lbo-talk] Free eBook: _Justin Fox: The Myth of the Rational Market_ -- rank: 1000
I had Justin Fox on the radio to discuss the book when it first come out. Much of his argument bears an uncanny resemblance to mine in Wall Street. We've been over this before, and I don't want to go over it again. I'll just say that it's implausible that a small group of people, even, you know, those crafty Jews, could hijack U.S. policy to this extent. But I'll stop ...

1379 [lbo-talk] report from Oakland -- rank: 1000

The best news are available on twitter, unfortunately, #occupyoakland and #generalstrike. For online coverage you can check the SF Chronicle (sfgate.com) that wrote an editorial against the ...
