141 [lbo-talk] Holocaust and denial -- rank: 1000
It seems to me that the reason you don't hear evolution denier so much is because there is a "positive" term for the large majority of people who disbelieve in evolution: creationists or intelligent design proponents. Or there are no spherical earth deniers...they are flat-earthers, etc. But what "positive" (replacement) term would be used for Holocaust denier...? 146 [lbo-talk] AP publishes a 'censored' copy of the Obama Cairo speech transcript without notification that it is an abridged transcript -- rank: 1000
Yah, I saw the whole transcript published several places after I couldn't find what I was looking for in the AP versions, I just find it strange that the only missing part is that. Could that be accidental? transcriber had to take a piss when Obama started discussing Israel/Palestine? Just strange. 147 [lbo-talk] AP publishes a 'censored' copy of the Obama Cairo speech transcript without notification that it is an abridged transcript -- rank: 1000
Am I making a big deal out of nothing? When examining the AP transcript of President Obama's speech in Cairo yesterday, I was very confused to find that almost the entire section where Obama discusses the Israel/Palestine situation was removed. (I see that they mention they got the transcript from CQ Transcriptions, but that is no excuse for lax journalistic practices, making sure that it is either the entire speech transcript or states "abridged transcript" or shows "[...]" ...

150 [lbo-talk] Feeling the Hate in Tel Aviv -- rank: 1000
Yah, there are private Christian schools in Israel, run by churches (interestingly, in many of them, a good percentage to majority are Muslim students), and I know of at least one Muslim school in the north for sure, and I would surmise that there are more.
